SJ Nielsen is a Duluth, MN-based watercolor artist. She’s known for her incredible urban sketches of locations and landmarks along the North Shore. She documents her process and shares a lot of her work with her nearly 20k Instagram followers. Her dream is getting paid to travel and paint. CONCEPT
The short film, WATERCOLORS, will follow SJ Nielsen as she attempts to land her dream client: secure a partnership with a national park. We’ll see this unfold as she tells her story of growing her craft and business. SJ’s story is shared with her husband + other small business owners who sell and celebrate her works of art.

Kevin is the co-owner and creative director of Duluth, MN-based Story North Productions. Story North produces story-telling based content for a variety of brands including corporations and nonprofits. Kevin spent 20 years in television news in both on-air and management capacities.

DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY
Jeremy is an independent documentary filmmaker and freelance camera operator based in Duluth, MN. He is passionate about environmental and social causes and seeks out film projects that have a positive impact on the world. He brings an observational, cinema verite style to documentary cinematography - allowing the subject and their actions tell the story.
